Privacy Policy

What information PROLOCKD collects, how it’s used and the choices you have.
The Short Version
- We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising.
- You choose what others see. Your bio shows only the items you switch on, and each connection only gets what you share with them.
- Favorites, referrals and rate insights are anonymous. Your rates are never shown to anyone.
- You can ask for a copy of your data or to delete it anytime: support@prolockd.com.
Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Account: email address, account type (contractor or hiring manager) and, for hiring manager applications, company and role details for review.
- Profile and bio: name, job title, photo, base airport, home zip code (used only to measure distance; you choose whether it shows), phone, email, years of experience, culinary skill, companies, type ratings, training, First Aid/CPR/AED dates, passport and visa countries and expiry dates, and any certificates you upload (private unless you choose to show them).
- Your work in PROLOCKD: availability calendar, newsletter designs, templates, trips, rates you enter, connections, messages, notes, favorites, testimonials and referrals.
- Your contacts: people you add to My Clients and people who sign up through your QR code or sign-up page (name, phone, email, text/email choices and their consent record).
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive your plan and payment status; we never see or store your card number.
Information collected automatically
- Sign-in and security data: one-time sign-in links, a session cookie, IP address (to prevent abuse) and when you were last active.
- Location, only if you turn on Nearby at an event. Your position is used to show people about a quarter mile away who also have Nearby on, is never shown to anyone, and is deleted when Nearby turns off (after 30 minutes at most).
- Small settings your browser keeps for you, such as unsaved drafts.
How We Use It
- To run PROLOCKD: show your bio to the people you choose, match available crew to trip dates, deliver newsletters, confirmations and notifications, and process memberships.
- To send account messages: sign-in links, reminders about expiring training or passports, and service notices.
- To produce anonymous rate insights. Averages need at least 3 people and ranges at least 5, figures are rounded, and individual rates are never shown.
- To keep PROLOCKD safe: review hiring manager accounts, prevent spam and abuse, and fix problems.
- To send PROLOCKD news only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe anytime.
Who We Share It With
Other members see only what your settings allow: your bio items, what you share with each connection, and your availability if you share it. Stealth mode hides you from hiring manager searches.
Service providers that run parts of PROLOCKD for us, under their own privacy and security commitments:
- Render (hosting and data storage)
- Cloudflare (domain, security and email routing)
- Stripe (payments)
- Resend (email delivery)
- Twilio (text message delivery)
- Kit (PROLOCKD news, only if you opt in)
- Facebook (PROLOCKD Community groups, only if you join them; Meta's own terms and privacy policy apply there)
- Google Fonts and cdnjs (fonts and a QR code library that load in your browser)
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect the safety and rights of members or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of PROLOCKD, in which case this policy continues to apply.
Text Messages and Mobile Numbers
Mobile numbers are used only to send the texts people asked for, such as a Contractor's availability updates and sign-up confirmations. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except the providers that deliver the messages. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help.
People Who Sign Up with a Contractor
If you subscribe to a Contractor's availability through their QR code or sign-up page, your details go to that Contractor, who decides how to contact you within the choices you made. PROLOCKD stores and delivers those messages for them. You can unsubscribe with the link in any email, reply STOP to any text, or email support@prolockd.com.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your information while your account is open. If your membership ends, we keep your information so renewing restores everything, until you ask us to delete it. Sign-in links expire after 20 minutes, Nearby locations are deleted within 30 minutes, and backups roll off on a regular schedule.
How We Protect It
Every page loads over HTTPS, sign-in uses one-time email links instead of passwords, your session cookie can't be read by scripts, payments go directly to Stripe, hiring managers are reviewed before access, and every account that runs PROLOCKD uses two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us right away at support@prolockd.com if you notice anything unusual.
Your Choices and Rights
- Edit your bio and sharing settings anytime, and use stealth mode to stay out of searches.
- Ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion by emailing support@prolockd.com from your account's email address.
- California residents: under the CCPA you have the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We'll respond within the time the law requires and may need to confirm it's you first.
Children
PROLOCKD is for professionals 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you think we have, contact us and we'll delete it.
Where Your Information Is Stored
PROLOCKD is run from the United States and your information is stored and processed there. If you use PROLOCKD from another country, you understand your information will be transferred to the United States.
Changes to This Policy
We'll post any changes here with a new date, and tell you by email or on the site when changes are significant.
